ISSUE: AG Barr had two streams of effluent that had large fluctuations in flow rate, pH and temperature. Final discharge was to strict Scottish Water consent limits and the effluent outlet had to be monitored.
I&C SOLUTION: We designed and installed pumping, storage and balancing of the effluent, which is monitored for pH, temp etc. The effluent is then blended to get to the consent parameters or chemicals automatically dosed to increase or decrease pH values.
Controlled from a single PLC, the system allows AG Barr to continue production whilst the system automatically always ensures consent compliance at all times.
