ISSUE: This aquaculture business had a water treatment system that was operational but not functional or optimised. Their waste also had to conform to strict consent requirements which they were managing but sometimes finding a challenge to adhere to. Their waste sludge was also causing an issue in its quality and dry solids content.
I&C SOLUTION: We carried out the upgrading and commissioning of the water and wastewater treatment plants in Scotland which treat the water for process use and effluent produced from the fish feed mill.
On site treatment was a Dosing system, a DAF plant and a Sludge Press system which were all required to be commissioned and confirmed to meet consent requirements.
We added chemical dosing and recommissioned the system to provide
good quality water back into the process.
